Horsing Around At Bukit Timah's The Grandstand
Horse betting is a popular pastime among the older generations in Singapore. The Singapore Turf Club at Bukit Timah was the ultimate place for horse racing and horse betting until their move to the Kranji Turf Club in 1995. Eventually, the Bukit Timah facility still stayed on and became a lifestyle destination known as The Grandstand. Let’s find out more about this place.

Bukit Timah Railway Station - A Trip Down Memory Lane
On 1st July 2011, if you want to head to Malaysia by train, train services from Tanjong Pagar Railway Station to Woodlands Train Checkpoint via Bukit Timah Railway Station ceased operations. The only way to get to Malaysia by train is by riding the train from Woodlands Train Checkpoint leaving the other two stations disused.
After months of track removal, Bukit Timah Railway Station opened to the public much to the delight of the public while the rest of the trail was turned into a park called the "Rail Corridor". In this article, I'll be giving you a tour around the railway station and my thoughts on it!

Wonderful Greenery at the Singapore Botanic Gardens
At the end of June 2012, a botanic gardens will open for the public at the Marina South area called Gardens By The Bay. It's Singapore's second botanic gardens and will feature lots of great new features such as the Cloud Forest, Flower Dome and the SuperTree Grove. However, we must not forget about Singapore's first botanic gardens which is the Singapore Botanic Gardens located at the Bukit Timah area. The Singapore Botanic Gardens has already existed long ago since the year 1822. It's a very old garden but the Botanic Gardens still manage to attract lots of people. A lot of great plantations, trees and other features such as the National Orchid Garden, Bandstand, Swan Lake and so much more can be found at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Scroll down further to check out my visit to the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
