Visiting The Our Tampines Hub Building

Singaporeans love community centres. It’s the ultimate place to carry out a variety of activities like playing sports and picking up new skills. Recently, a new building called Our Tampines Hub, which is basically like a supersized community centre, opened to much fanfare. Curious to find out more? Here’s the scoop on this new place.

The Downtown Line 3 Open House

The Downtown Line is Singapore’s latest and also the longest underground MRT line serving residents from the Bukit Panjang district and the Expo area in Changi all the way to the city area. The third stage of the Downtown Line just opened in late October giving residents in the eastern part of Singapore an alternative to the aging East West Line. To kick off the opening, the Land Transport Authority organised an open house for the new line. Here’s a closer look.

BBQ Chicken is a chain of casual restaurants that specialises in chicken and it originates from South Korea. There are a wide variety of chicken dishes available here such as fried chicken, pasta with chicken, fried rice with chicken and so much more. In this article, I will be showing you my experience at BBQ Chicken at Tampines 1, a neighbourhood mall located directly beside Tampines MRT Station.

Big Box Mania at Tampines Retail Park

When I hear the phrase 'big box retailers', I will immediately think of popular retailers in the US like Target, Walmart and Best Buy. Unfortunately, they did not make their presence in Singapore so we can't enjoy affordable furniture, clothes, electronics and groceries. Not all is lost though. Singapore does have its own set of big box retailers in the east called Tampines Retail Park which consists of a Giant Hypermarket, Ikea Furniture Store and Courts Megastore. Let me give you a brief tour of all the three big box retailers here at Tampines Retail Park.
